
Termini Station, Rome’s main railway station is only
a 10 minute walk from the Hotel Lazzari entrance which means
the moment you arrive the quicker you can drop your bags and
start to explore the Eternal city. Rome is serviced by two
airports which both have excellent transfer services in operation
to Termini Station, once there you are only a short walk from
your hotel where you can choose to relax or jump straight
in to the thick of things.
The area of Porta Pia where the
Hotel Lazzari is located is home to many foreign embassies
including the British embassy. This part of the city is abundant
with good quality restaurants and bars, not forgetting, the
array of shops and big name fashion boutiques. The famous
Piazza Repubblica is a stone’s
throw away, as is Via Nazionale.
A leisurely stroll down this street will lead you to Piazza
Venezia and then Via dei Fori Imperiali.
This is the home of the Roman Forum
and a little further you will find the Colosseum.
In the immediate area of the hotel you can visit the national
Roman museum at Piazza Cinquecento
and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore
and Santa Maria degli Angeli.

From Termini Central Train Station the Hotel Lazzari Rome
is a simple 10 minute journey on foot. Following the map above,
exit Termini on Via Marsala and turn left. walk up Via Marsala
and turn right onto Viale Enrico de Nicola, the big wide road
in front of the bus concourse with the ACI (Automobile
Club Italia) building on the corner. Walk past the ACI
building and cross over Piazza Indipendenza – you should
see the Corriere dello Sport newspaper offices on
your right as you walk through Piazza Indipendenza. At the
other side of the Piazza turn left into Via Castelfidardo.
The Hotel Lazzari is at number 31, soon after the junction
with Via Montebello sul Sangro. |
